summer is over!

It is hard to believe but, it is true!  The boys woke up, they really didn't eat their breakfast, I think that they were too excited! they got dressed and got in the car at 0655...ummmmm school doesn't start  toll 0750. So they sat in the car till we were ready to leave. I did make them get out so I could take their annual first day of school pictures. And here is what came from that!

summer fun

Summer started out great!  I have been taking a week off each month so I can spend time with the boys.  we have gone to the lake a couple of times,  we have been to the pool and we have been to the Emergency room!  I know that this is not a new story for The Turner family!  It is a common occurrence for us!  UGH  here is ER story...

We just arrived home when the Neighbor boy came to see if Isaac could go ride bikes. His mom came over the hang out with me while they played.  They were having a good time when the neighbor boy showed up at my house.  He said that he couldn't find Isaac so we loaded up in my truck and drove around the neighborhood.  We found Isaac.  They informed us that they have found some ramps and they were  riding their bikes down them.  My friend and I saw the ramps that they were using and decided that they probably should not use them to ride on. the boys agreed.  I dropped my friend off at her house and went home.  I was relaxing and watching an episode of Freaks and Geeks, when the neighbor boy comes racing in to my house, "Isaac fell and he cannot get up!"  He told me that he was on the "bump" The bump is a section of the sidewalk that has buckled so much there is a 2ft pitch.  (I have told the boys to be careful on the "bump")  I run to my truck, I drive as fast as I can, I see him up the road, I arrive  I slam on the breaks and jump out of my truck!  Isaac is sitting in someone's driveway all by himself crying, there is people sitting in their car staring at him.  As soon as I pick him up the car drives away.  (I was mildly irritated that no one helped him)
I looked at his arm, there was an oblivious break! at the ER we waited only for a few minutes, we got in to a room and all of a sudden I saw my father in law walking to a different room. I went to see what was going on, my mother in law fell and fractured the ball on the top of her Femur.  back to Isaac.  3 hours later we have had many xrays and the doctor had to set his arm.  while the Doctor was setting on his arm Isaac kept screaming "Levi stop stop Levi stop pulling on my arm!"  He has no memory of this,  when he came too he said "It was like 20 seconds of darkness"  the doctor was not sure that it was in the right place and that there is a chance that he will have to have surgery.  We are following up with bone and joint tomorrow. If all is well he will just be cast-ed and then able to do approved things.  If the bone is not set in the right place we will be going to a pediatric ortho-surgeon at children's hospital in Denver.
He has been doing pretty well his pain is managed with medications and he is in good spirits, expect when we tell him that he is not allowed to run ump, swim, climb or ride his bike.  maybe when he is in cast he will be able to do all of those things

Last Day of School

It is hard to believe that school is over for the boys.  It has been a quick school year.  It has been an uneventful year (finally)  but it has been good.

Isaac-  Just finished up 4th grade, he had a great teacher.  She was a good fit for him.  He went on a trip to Thermopolis, Cody and Yellowstone with his class this last week.  he was gone for 4 days.  I missed him like crazy!   He had a good time learning about Wyoming. When we get the pictures from his teacher I will post them

Levi- Just finished 2nd grade.  He has made leaps and bounds Academically.  He is still as busy and into things as ever.  Levi joined the Cartoon Club at school this year.  He brought home some awesome pictures that he drew

Ashton- was the last of our kids to have Mrs. Van Arsdale.  She fought to have him place in his class and we are so grateful.  Ash loves school.  A few months ago he asked Dave and I if he could plant an apple seed, we thinking that there was no way it would actually grow we let him, well it grew and he had to take it to his class to show his classmates his apple tree.

It was a great school year for the Turner's

For the last day of school I took the Boys to Oasis Golf, the putt putt golf course.  We met our friends there and the boys had a blast.  Levi played trough before we got past the 4th hole.  After Golf we went to our friends and played in the sprinkler , with squirt guns and umbrellas.

Spring Break...Big plans

We are day three into spring break. I had huge plans for this week which included but not limited to; Cleaning the whole house!  Also Known as the Spring PURGE!  This was the plan,  So far it didn't happen. Lets go back to Sunday (St. Patrick's Day)  I was scheduled to work Night shit.  So we planned t o have dinner at the Turner's house and dessert at the Volin's.  Dinner was good and the cake was the best I have eaten in a while.  It was time for me to got to work.  I managed to make it through the whole night and 7am came around I started not feeling too well.  I left after Report and then got home and I will save the details.  Monday morning I was going to sleep till 2pm  and get up and get the project started.  but no I was way too sick.  So I slept all day the kids went to the Turner's and I stayed home sleeping.  missed calls and texts which means that I was so asleep that I didn't hear them (it was a good thing).  I slept all night and hoped that when I woke up I would bee feeling better...I REALLY NEED TO CLEAN!  well no such luck spring purge has to wait another day.  The good news is I have 3 more days before I have to go back to work so maybe, just maybe I will get it all done!  Wish me LUCK!
