December

I find as the Christmas season approaches I am forcing my self to be joyful and seasonally spirited. it is hard but here goes. 1- got a Christmas tree, originally we planned on going to the snowy range to get our tree but since the roads were a sheet of Ice I decided to fork out the cash for a 4.5 foot Christmas tree. (It is really nice) (I cannot complain too much last year I didn't get the tree until the week before Christmas.)
2-I finally put on the Christmas Music. (I am that person that has it on in the middle of July, David told me I had to wait until after thanksgiving)
3-I have been thinking about Christmas gifts (not buying them but thinking about what to give people)

I doing pretty good tho, This Christmas I am going to be celebrating much more than the birth of our Savior. I feel that with out His Birth and Sacrifice. there would be no hope. I miss my Dad and it is not easy but I have faith that things are going to get better. Merry Christmas

what I am thankful for!

This is not the year to ask me what I am thankful for. I think that i have to muster up enough to start my list

My dogs, I know that more times than not I am saying how much I hate them but they have been good for me this past year.

My Kids, they make each day awesome! I am so happy that I have been blessed with three great boys who are just like their parents.

My Husband, I know that he will support me in what ever adventure I take on and for that I am truly grateful

My husband again, He is such a good friend and a great husband

My Mom, she is and always will be my biggest support. I know that I can tell her anything and she cares enough about me that she tells me when I am being stupid!

My Brothers, I am glad that I grew up with only boys that helps me raise my children

My Dad, he taught me to love unconditionally it has been really hard and I miss him so much but I have always and will always be thankful that he was my father.

that is my list Happy Thanks Giving

What my boys say

For those who know me I have been a Buffalo Bills fan since the 4th grade. I later acquired a taste for the Vikings, then when my husband and I got married we decided that we needed to have a mutual football team, we decided on the Bangles, (yes the bangles) but you would never and I mean never hear the words "GO BRONCOS" out of my mouth. (ok only if they are playing the steelers or the jets) we are watching the game and I look at my children and they are all dressed in blue and orange (uggh!) then I hear them chant together "GO BRONCOS" my heart died a little but since they are playing the Jets I will forgive them! This once!

this only happens to me!

Today was my day off! it was going to be an awesome day! It started out great slept till 5:45, kids got to school on time and I decided to take Ash to the park for a play group. We get to the play group and Ash will not leave my side he grabs my face and says "can we go to the hospital and see BOB?" (Bob is the painter at the hospital, also Ash has decided that he is his best friend!) finally he plays a little we go get his dad some lunch and say hi to David, that was fun. I told Ash that we would go see Bob at 2 but he fell asleep. So we picked up the boys and went home. Levi is always hungry! so he started to make dinner. he took the hamburger out of the fridge and then he tells me he is cooking crabby patties, I tell him to wait, all of a sudden he is screaming and running the house. I look and he had cut his finger about a 1 and 1/2 inch slice in his pointer finger. Off to the ER. I call my mom and she takes the other boys to get a treat. Ash sees Bob down the hall he begins to run screaming "BOB" (the kid just saw him the day before, but since Ash's best friend is bob!) we get Levi fixed up and we head out,I volunteered Dave to paint a friends house and now we are running late! but they are great and understand life happens. Dave gets the truck loaded up and off he goes. I am having to work so I call the kids in and tell them to get ready, Isaac , Ashton, Where the crap is Levi. "Isaac please check your room" "Isaac please check the sheds" Levi is no where to be found! I am so stressed. I am thinking that Dave wouldn't have taking him with out telling me. I drive around the neighborhood. I am about to call the police when I get a call. it was Dave he had found Levi in the dog kennel in the back of the truck! that kid decided he was going to help, even though his dad said no! Dave found him when he went to take out the sprayer to paint! I called my mom and asked "What did I do as a child to deserve this child?" she told me nothing I have come to the conclusion that since my brothers are not having kids (right now) I have to be blessed with one of my youngest brothers cruses! I am not complaining I love the excitement he brings to my day! I think that my blog would be pretty boring with out him!

Summer?

Today is the last day of summer! This has been an emotional and hard summer which we really didn't do much! I went back to work in July and Isaac and Levi went to summer school. Ashton went to Star Valley with Angela for more than a week. Dave bought a Praying Mantis Ooth. (Egg) and my friend gave me her turtles! I planned on taking the kids to the pool every week but the when we would go it would lighting, and then the pool was closed and then I go sick! boring summer! other than the new pets and future pets we have not done much but we survived this summer and now bring on the fall! I am not really looking forward to this winter I know that it is going to be the hardest thing that I have ever had to go through, I want to ski, I want the snow but I am not sure that I can cope with out my dad this winter!

HAIR CUTS

One day Ash asked me if he could have a mo-hawk. I cut his hair for him and he looked awesome!

Then I came home from work to find that Ash had cut his hair, by himself now he has a bald spot and he has to keep it that was for a day because I don't want to cut his hair tonight!

Car crashes

Today I told Isaac he could play with the neighbor boy. I stopped the car and let him out. I told Levi and Ashton stay buckled and to stay in the car they I saw that Levi has opened the door and I tell him to shut it, he did then , the next thing I know is Ashton is crying and on the outside of the car. I get out of the car and run to Ashton, he is okay. then I see Levi driving the car! I run back to the car to find that Levi has locked the door, so I am pounding on the door of a moving car Levi is laughing! and then the car hits a power pole! Levi is laughing harder at this point and finally unlocks the door. no damage to the car, no damage to the pole and I am so grateful there was no damage to my children. (ash had a bit of road rash!)

What comes next?

it has been 2 weeks since my dad passed way. It is still just as hard as it was the first. I have been keeping myself busy with errands. But today i decided to stay home for the morning. I have had a lot of time to think about the past few weeks. I miss my Daddy. I watch each of my family members deal with the stress differently. Jimmy has been doing pretty well. he still jokes with me and is able to comfort us as needed. My Mom is taking it one day at a time and this is a good thing because it is so up and down. Richard is withdrawn and not really talking to me, this is expected because we really have not shared our emotions before. my husband is doing ok, he is up and down too. I think that the kids are starting to get back to their lives. Isaac is doing better. I have been talking to him every night about the loss. Levi has stopped asking about grandpa and well I am not sure that Ash has really fully understood what happened yet. \Me I have been so up and down, I am remodeling my living room. this means new carpet, new paint and a new couch, but I am also out of commission so my ability to do this is really limited. I am really needing a big change in my life. so here we go. wish me luck. It has been really hard with out him. I miss him so much and I just want to see him, feel him and even smell him again. I look at is pictures and I remember what was happening at that time of our lives. I know I will see him again and that brings me great comfort, but it still hurts every inch of my body and soul, to not have him here and now.

My Dad

We recently lost my Dad due to complications of heart surgery. It is the hardest thing to be going through. He was healthy other than his heart valve. he was active, and he loved more than one person could have. He Died on April 29, 2010 at 11:15am. he spent the week prior to his death with my mom, my brothers Mitchel, Richard, Jimmy, myself, his brother and sister, my mothers sister and his close friends LuDonna and Don. He went peacefully. I have had the time to reflect on the events that transpired and my life growing up with the worlds best dad. and I had a bit of time to remember the things that my dad was.

He was the strongest person that I know. When I was young I so so sure of this fact that at one of his high school reunions I met a kid and the first thing out of my mouth was..."My dad can beat you your dad. This kid's father was the biggest roughest guy in my dads class. I watched my dad do so many strong things. I wished for his strength.

My Dad was the Kindest most soft hearted person. before I was born he came home with a dog. He told my mom "I had to bring him home this was his last day at the shelter. " He had a love for all animals and all nature. I knew that he would always try to save an animal no matter what it took. this was the same with cars. As a teen driver I am pretty sure that he spent a ton fixing my Saab. but he knew that It would break my heart if it died. so he kept fixing it!

My dad was a great teacher. In all things. it was my first time to climb a 5'4 and I was scared, I made it up and then I was too scared to repel (not much has changed I love to go up but
coming down is hard for me ) he climbed up and helped me down. When i was learning to drive he rarely got angry with me. which was good because I was a horrible driver!

My dad Love me! I always knew that I could call him when ever. one time I spent all day cooking for Dave's cousin and his wife. I made my first key lime pie I put it in the fridge to cool and started to clean I decided I needed something from the fridge and when I opened the door the pie came crashing down and it was falling I was jumping and the glass shattered at the same time my foot came in contact with the floor, I had a huge piece of glass stuck in the sole of my foot. I called my dad who had a million of things to do but he stopped and came over to my house and worked on getting the glass out of my foot. I knew if I needed anything he was there! He love me so much.

my dad was the best dad ever! he let me grow up and make decision by my self (with the consequences ) but he cared enough to let me learn. he is the reason that I am who I am today. and I am so grateful that he is my daddy. I will believe for ever and ever that...

My dad can beat up your dad.

still in the hospital! warning i talk about my bm's..or lack there of!

last Wednesday I had surgery to fix my shoulder. it was an out patient procedure, but due to my inability to stop throwing up i spent the night. i was so excited to go home on Thursday that i packed my bags and and waited to be discharged. I left at 2:30 in the afternoon, that is when the fun began.i threw up from 3 till Dave came home at 5:45, then i went to the er. three bags of fluid later. i went home again, only to spend the night sick. So back to the hospital i went! i am not throwing up anymore. my stomach and stomach, and surrounding parts will not wake up! I have been on 1 liter of o2 since i got here and mt o2 Sat's are fine as long as i leave it on, but when i take it off they drop down to the low 80's. this stinks. i have had the best care, but i just want to go home! i wish that i could go. but not until i have a BM. i keep psyching my self up only to find that it is not working! one of the nurses gave me some prune juice with butter, yuck! and it still is not working! I am not that bored because my friend brought me enough stuff to do during my stay! but since i am always up by 5 i am wide awake. the hospital is way different when you are the patient! I have had some visits from my friends here at the hospital and my family has come to see me, but i just want to be at home. today is the day!!!

Surgery, spider, sweet smiles

Levi had his adenoid out on the 11th. He is doing great. In fact he got up out of his hospital bed refused a wheelchair and walked out...with a trip to the cafeteria and then up to see my mother. He was a such a trooper. when we got home he didn't even sleep till 5 that evening. he woke up at 8 ate some food watched a movie and then went back to sleep at 9:30 so I think that he was feeling it at that point. people keep asking me how he is doing well he is great. he only has an occasional stomach ache and that is from the drainage.

Now Everyone knows that I was playing the X-games with my friend and I dislocated my shoulder. The pain was suppose to go away by February, but it didn't I am still in a great deal of pain and with many trips to the Doctor We have decided that Surgery is a good option. of course this is not ideal but it is the only thing that we haven't tried. So I talked to my Doctor and he had his assistant call me to arrange something. So I get a call from Dave to call my Doctors office and so I did. they informed me that they had a cancellation and if I wanted it I could have it. I asked when it is and they said the 24 of march... this was my response Hum? thinking, thinking, thinking...um maybe not. After all I need more than a week to get everything in order meaning my house the kids need to be arranged for, My yard needs to get pickedAdd Image up and the dog stuff in the yard needs to be removed before I am out for the count! I know excuses but I think that they are very reasonable. So I decided that it should be in April, so we are able to prepare but still get it done so I can be back to work! So we scheduled it on the 7th of April. so Bring it on! I am so ready for April and the bills to start to pour in!!!

Finally spiders. Levi caught a spider and brought it in the house. instead of getting mad and throwing it out we drew pictures of it and then we let it go outside! pictures will follow I am having technical difficulties with my camera.

February is finally over

As I Have always said I do not like the month of February! (except for Crystal's Birthday) this one takes the cake. in January I hurt my self and I am still suffering! well I went to the Doctor in February and we decided that we need to look at my shoulder more so I have a MRI on Monday the 8th. (I know this is not Feb, but I it was scheduled in Feb). We have been really sick in this house, Dave had influenza starting ind February and Ashton was sick for a week and I took Levi to his well visit (I was a month late but hey it is done) and The doctor and I decided that we need to take him to an ENT to check out his perpetual green boogerie left nostril. this included having the Doc hold open his nostril and taking a look and then getting a cat scan that took us 20 mins instead of 25 seconds. (it was fun) we received a call from the Doctor telling us the there was something that was blocking his nose and it could be two things, one the adenoid which is and easy fix or something else like a tumor which will need to biopsied. (not to alarm this common for the ENT to say, it is just his adenoid) but needless to say when you hear the word biopsy a bit of fear over comes you. So we have scheduled a day for his operation. the 11th he will no longer be know for his left boogie! I am glad that February is over and has been for a few days.

Other than the yuckies that are written about up there we are okay! Hope that March is way better than February

Ashton has been helping me around the house I cannot reach the bottom of the washer so he has been volunteering to do the things that I cannot.

happy febuary

Well it has been a few days shy of a month since I hurt myself. Well I hope that I am doing better, but that is not likely, it was about two weeks ago when I fell and hurt myself again. This made physical therapy harder and I was brought back to doing the exercises that I was doing when I first went in. I go back to the Dr. in two weeks and then if things are not better I have to have an MRI. this is not much fun, but I am the ultimate optimist! so things are going to get better! really other than that there has not been much going on here! that is weird in itself but good non the less! Levi is still into every thing and Ashton is still my little shadow! I just remembered the funniest thing that happened this week I was having a bad day so Dave decided to take me and the boys out to dinner. They were very well behaved, abnormal, and they stayed in their seats and the waitress was so impressed she gave them Ice cream and coupons for free meals we really had a great time. well Dave showed them how to shoot the wrappers off the straws with his nose (this was not approved by mother!) I put a stop to that one and then I look at Isaac and he snorted his chocolate milk up his straw through his nose. Dave and I are laughing, when the waitress shows up and Isaac said "I can feel it going down my throat" he said this with tear filled eyes and a horsy voice! I love having three boys!

January!? when did this happen?

So far the month has been as eventful as the last, if not a bit more so! I have made a resolution to be more active (outdoorsy) so starting on January 2nd I decided to head up to the Ski area and get my snowboarding on (yes I am that cool and yes I just said that!) anyway It was great Dave and I had the best day! So one of my friends caught up with me and we decided that we needed to go together too, so I made plans with her to head up on the 7th. I was overjoyed on the morning of the 7th (not just because I was going snowboarding but it was also Levi's 5th birthday) we woke up early and got Levi his presents. It was really c old I think that it was -17 that morning, After a good time with the kids we started to get ready. But to our surprise we found out that our pipes had froze! that was just the start! then my suburban would not start so I had to call my in laws, (I am so grateful that they have been such a good support! ) I didn't have time to make treats for Levi's class to I bought them. Which made us 30minutes late for dropping Levi off at school, Finally the time had come and I was ready to go snowboarding! My friend Jessica showed up and we headed toward the mountain! It is amazing hoe much you remember even if you have not been there for 4 years! so We decided that we should head to the back side of the mountain. it took forever due to me be so out of shape! when we got to the other side we were riding on the best snow! I was almost to the bottom of the slope when a shrub reached out and grabbed the bottom of my board! needless to say I fell and then the i realized that my arm felt as if I broke it! not a good feeling, I yelled a t Jessica and to go and call my dad (aka ski patrol) I decide that I needed to take off my jacket and make sure that my body is intact, when I started to pull off the left arm of my jacket I felt a pain that was never felt before! then I realized that I didn't break my arm, I grabbed my jacket and strapped on my board and headed down the hill I think that the endorphins that were running through my body took control! I felt way better! I was ready to finish out my day. my Dada showed up at the same time Jessica did and when I told them that I was going to take a few more runs they simultaneously gave me the death look. I got back to the base and realized how much pain I was in. I made a doctors appointment and headed for town! Come to find out I have a shoulder subluxation. So I have not been to work for 6 days and I have been taking Hydrocodone (a lot of it) The moral of this story is my shoulder hurts! and I would never wish a shoulder injury on anyone ever!
